Q: When and where is the weekly social ride?
A: Our Sunday ride meets every week at 9am at the Unisphere in Flushing Meadows Corona Park

Q; What time is wheels down?

A; We leave on time at 9am, Be on time or get left behind

Q; Is there a route posted?

A; Yes, usually by Friday night in a Ride with GPS format. Please download the free version of the app so you can follow, catch up or know the route before the ride.

Q; Is this ride supported?

A; NO. If your bike breaks or you can’t finish the ride you are responsible to get you and your bike home. There are plenty of us willing to assist you in any quick repair, You take the assistance at your discretion. Please carry a spare tube and basic tools to remove your wheel and other minor repairs.

Q; Is thisd ride for beginners?

A; No. Depending on your fitness and the ride that week, skill level is intermediate. If you can ride from Flushing Meadows FMCP to the Queensboro bridge mid point and back, you can do all of our rides.

Q; How long our your rides?

A; Ride mileage varies from 15 miles to 35 miles and so does the elevation. If you are new try our shorter rides first and work your way up. Note the Garmin App shows the mileage and the amount of elevation you will be climbing.

Q; Do you take breaks?

A; Yes. We take at the least one or two bathroom breaks at local parks or other known public bathrooms.. depending on ride length. Longer rides over 25 miles we may stop for a quick lunch break or an occasional extended lunch..

Q; What time are you usually finished?

A This depends on ride length and if we have any mechanical breakdowns. Usually the average ride is about 23 miles and we are done by 12pm. Any incident can extend that time.

Q. Does the ride cost anything?

A No, it is Free.99 Spend the money on the upkeep of your bike.

Q; Are there any requirements?

A; Yes. A helmet, bike bell and a spare tube, Read & agree to our rules as a condition of riding with us.
