A row of brightly colored commuter bicycles resting on their kickstands in front of the gleaming stainless-steel Unisphere in Queens, carefully arranged side by side with varied frame styles and playful handlebar tape patterns. The bikes are parked on smooth concrete within the circular plaza, with low fountains and distant skyscrapers softly blurred in the background. Early-morning golden sunlight pours in from the side, catching metal spokes and polished frames, casting long, crisp shadows in a radial pattern. The mood is energetic and welcoming, suggesting the start of a fun city adventure. Photographic realism at eye level with a wide-angle lens, sharp focus on the bikes and Unisphere, gentle background bokeh, and vibrant, saturated colors that feel playful yet authentic.

Queens Social Ride

We meet every Sunday at 9am in good weather at the Unisphere Africa side for a 15 to 35 mile ride through Queens and NYC. Helmet required, see our rules

About us

Queens Social ride started on July 26th, 2020 in the middle of the covid pandemic. With a growing cycling community in Queens and most cycling groups focusing on other Boros we decided Queens deserved it’s own cycling club. Every week we explore different areas of Queens and the other Boros. All our rides start & end at the Unisphere. This is a social ride, not a peloton. Helmets are required but spandex is a personal choice. We are from all different backgrounds and are accepting of all people. Explore Queens and the rest of NYC, make new friends and get out and ride.
We are a Queens, NYC based all volunteer social cycling weekly meet up. Our rides are from 15-35 miles at 8-13 MPH in an urban environment at a casual pace. Rides are usually posted by Friday night in a Ride with GPS Garmin format that you can download. All cyclists are responsible for their own safety and must follow all rules of the road, wear a helmet, carry a spare tube and basic tool kit for their bike. All cyclists and their bikes must be in proper condition for the posted ride. All cyclists must read and agree to our rules. We meet every Sunday at 9an at the Unisphere in Flushing Meadows Corona Park at the Africa side. Please be on time, we wait for no one
